Neuropsychological Evaluations

These evaluations help understand your child's cognitive development and learning style by examining skills such as IQ, memory, language, multitasking, problem solving, attention, and impulse control. They can also evaluate a child's social skills and emotional functioning. This is helpful because sometimes a child's challenges with paying attention, controlling their behavior, or learning are related to a weakness in one of these skills. Better understanding a child’s strengths and differences can help parents, therapists, and schools design determine what types of interventions and supports will help the child be most successful. Evaluations can be also be helpful for things such as in identifying/understanding ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.
