Neuropsychological Evaluations

These evaluations identify strengths and weaknesses in IQ, memory, comprehension, problem solving, attention, impulse control, and other cognitive skills that are related to behavior and learning. Often times, children with behavior problems, attention difficulties, head injuries, or learning difficulties have weaknesses in one or more of these areas, which can affect their ability to be successful with everyday tasks and social interactions. Learning a child’s strengths and differences can help parents, therapists, and the school design better interventions and supports for a child who is struggling with learning or behavior regulation.  Evaluations can be also be helpful for things such as in identifying/understanding ADHD, emotional dysregulation, or mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.
